Big Boy Food

Now that I am four months old, the doctor told me that I could start experimenting with some real food. So this past week, I have been enjoying a new treat...rice cereal. At first, I didn't really know what to do with the spoon, and I kept trying to suck the cereal into my mouth. But, by the end of the week, I finally got the hang of this whole eating thing. I can't wait to try more foods next week....

"Hey ma, lemme get some of those yummy quesadillas from the restaurant. They smell really good!"

In the Basket...Again!

Mom got out the camera again to take some pictures of me sleeping. She must really love this basket because I keep waking up in it!!

Laugh Out Loud Funny

Yesterday, my Grandma Deenie came over to watch me so my mom could get some stuff done around the house. She played the "buzzy bee" game with me, and I thought it was so funny that I laughed out loud over and over again. I laughed so much that I even got the hiccups! Thanks Grandma Deenie for teaching me this new game...I really liked it!!

A Very, Very Special Day

Not only was yesterday special because it was Father's Day, but also because it was my Baptism. I knew something was going on in the morning because my mom got out the good china and was setting up the dining room, which we rarely go in. And then, my dad came downstairs in a suit, and that's when I really knew something was up.

We left to go to Holy Cross Church around noon, and when we got there, my dad dressed me up in this beautiful gown that Grandma B had made for me from her wedding dress! What a special gift!

I had no idea what was in store for me during the ceremony, but I was a very good boy throughout everything, even when the priest poured the holy water over my head.

You can't tell from this picture, but instead of crying when the priest poured the water over my head, I just smiled and looked up at him. I kept smiling so much that the priest took a break from the prayer and started talking to me about my smiley face. Everyone, including my dad, got a kick out of it!

After the ceremony, we took a lot of pictures and then headed home to celebrate! Here is a picture of the whole family...

This is one of my favorite pictures becuase it is with my wonderful Godparents, Aunt Heather and Uncle Teddy. As my spiritual leaders, they were trying to impart some words of wisdom. As you can see, I wasn't having it!

Aunt Jackie knew exactly what I needed....my binkie and a kiss!

And last but not least is a picture of me with my mom and dad. Dad looks very happy in this picture because he is thinking about the Chicken Riggies from Rico's that he has to pick up! Yum!

Thanks to everyone for making my Baptism so special, especially Aunt Heather and Uncle Teddy for being my Godparents and also my Grandma B for the beautiful Christening gown.

Happy Father's Day

Part one of my dad's Father's Day present took place on Friday when my mom and I surprised him at work and brought him lunch. He was definitely the most proud dad at Jamesville Elementary School that day because he finally got to introduce me to all his friends. It was a really fun day...but mom and I noticed that dad did not have any framed pictures of me in his office.

I'm sure this comes as no surprise that when we got home, mom arranged a little photoshoot... of course, with a baseball theme. Here is the picture that we had framed for dad as part of his Father's Day gift. And, another shocker...mom created a video slideshow for dad, which we watched over and over again today. Hope you enjoy it too!

Look Who's Talking....

Okay, okay... so I'm not really talking, but I do enjoy babbling and cooing these days. My mom likes to give me this make-believe, plastic, play phone like I don't know the difference between this and a real phone. Every time I talk into it, I just hear silence.

Now, that's what I'm talking about....a real phone! I can actually talk on this one and ask my dad what he wants for Father's Day. I have to make it extra special this year because it's his first Father's Day, and I have to let him know what an awesome dad he is.

No More Tummy Time

Even though I like being on my tummy, today I decided, 'enough is enough....it's time to give this rolling over thing another try.' So, as soon as my mom put me on my tummy this morning, I did a little rocking 'n rolling and then all of a sudden I was on my back. I think I surprised myself as much as I surprised my mom. Well, wouldn't you know...she put me back on my stomach and got the camera out. Of course, I had to show off again, so here is my 2nd attempt at rolling over!

Party Time - The Gang's All Here

Today, we went to one of my mom's schools for a Ba-BEE Get-Together. It's kinda hard to believe, but there were ten babies born to teachers at Wellwod Middle School this year. Pretty crazy, considering Wellwood does not have a big staff to begin with.

Anyway, in the fall, a was a picture taken of all the expectant parents, and it was decided that the moms and dads would get the babies together in late spring for another photograph as well as a party for people to meet us little guys.

Of course, the moms had to make the baby get-together complicated (oh wait, I mean special) by creating personalized onsies for each baby to wear with their name on the back and the number of their birth order. So on Tuesday, I got to have a play date with Tate, Jack, and little Harris while the moms tried really hard to figure out how to make these onsies. After lots of hard work, the onsies were finally complete, and I got to wear Dera #8 to the party on Friday.

Here is a picture of Me, Harris, Jack, and Tate after a long day of hard work!

Friday was very fun, and I got to meet lots of new people as well as hang out with my old buddies.

Lots of pictures were taken, but my favorite was when all of us got together and showed off our bee-hinds!

My Favorite New Toy

Two days ago, my mom put together my Go Baby Go: Kickin' Bobbin' Gym. You probably can't tell from the picture, but the goal is to kick the ball as hard as you can to make the bear sing, move, and light up his nose.

As you can see from this picture, I am a very happy boy when I get to play and kick around.

It didn't take me long at all to learn how to make the bear move around, and I have been all smiles ever since.

I even smile when my mom lays me down on the blanket to get me ready for my Go Baby Go. My mom says she's never seen so many smiles from me!

Even though I love my new toy, I try to make time for my other favorite activites. I still enjoy hanging out with my buddies.... and eating my fingers (or fist)

Okay, enough pictures for today, mom!

Stop With the Pictures

Ever since the photographer came to the house, my mom has been practicing her "photography skills." I use the term, "skills," pretty loosely because my mom has a lot to learn. She found out quickly that it's not as easy as it looks. Anyway, here are a few of her experimental shots.
