The Big Surprise

Most of you who have talked to my parents recently know how tired they've been because I've been getting up every three hours during the night to eat. I keep telling them that I am a growing boy, but that doesn't stop them from giving me a "pep" talk every night about sleeping longer.

Anyway, this morning I really surprised my mom by sleeping 9 hours straight. She couldn't believe it when she woke up a looked at the clock. And then, I gave her a really big surprise when she came into my room to get me....

I was on my stomach - happy as could be!

My mom was so excited that she woke up my dad to tell him the good news, and he couldn't believe that I rolled over on my stomach during the night! My mom and dad were so proud of me that they rewarded me with a sweet treat....SWEET POTATOES!

Boy, did I enjoy the sweet potatoes...YUM!!

Snuggle Puppy

One of my favorite books these days is "Snuggle Puppy." I get so excited each night looking at the pictures and cuddling with my mom. I guess it's only fitting that she snuggled me up in my puppy towel right before bed and started singing the snuggle puppy song.

Veggie Party

Yesterday I had a birthday party with my mom and dad because I turned five months old. Although I asked for a chocolate cake with lots of frosting, I got a pureed concoction of peas, spinach, and green beans, which I actually enjoyed. My mom finally got out the video camera to tape how excited I get when I am fed real food.

More Peas, Please

I have graduted from rice cereal and now I've moved on to green veggies. I absolutely love peas, and I smile after every bite! I'm not quite so sure about green beans, though....

After I eat my dinner, I am usually a mess, so it's off to the bath tub for me! Yup, you heard it right...the bath tub! Mom said I can't go in my infant tub anymore because I splash so much that all of the water ends up on the floor.
Bath time is the best time of the day for me. I love splashing around!

I'm not my usual smiley self in this picture because as you can see, my mom is holding my arm so I don't get the camera soaking wet. Aw, mom...you are spoiling all of my fun!

My First Elephant Ride

Today I had my very first visit to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo with my mom, Grandma Deenie, and Poppy! I saw lots and lots of animals while I was at the zoo - and tons of little kids too! It was fun to take in all of the sights and sounds of the zoo (but I didn't really like the smells so much).

I wasn't too scared of the lions...mostly because they were sleeping!

And I got to "hang" out with the monkeys!

All in all, it was a great trip to the zoo. Thanks Grandma Deenie and Poppy for taking me to see all of the animals! I can't wait to go again when I am older!

A Quick Dip

It's been really hot this past week so my mom took me to her friend, Heather's house to go swimming. At first, I was a little upset by the cold water, but then I got used to it and started splashing around like I was in my little bath tub. Of course, all of the swimming really made me work up an appetite....

This is the life!

Just Chillin'

The weather in Syracuse has been beautiful these last few days, so my mom and I have been spending a lot of time outside.

Of course, she has been practicing her photography skills, which means I usually end up in a basket somewhere.

I am especially happy these days when I have my hands in my mouth. Yum!
