Sitting Tall

Today I had a great idea! I was just laying there, and it popped into my head.
"Time to put together my highchair!"

It wasn't long before my highchair was assembled, and I was in it.

My first meal was sweet potatoes and corn fed to me by my "G." Yum!

Then, I got to sit at the table with everybody during dinner. I knew that they wouldn't be able to resist giving me some more food, and of course, I was right. Grandma Deenie broke off a piece of bread for me to play with.

At first, I didn't know what to do with it, but then I figured out how to get it right in my mouth!

YUM!

One Happy Boy

This week, I have been working on my sitting skills, and I've learned how to prop sit and play with my toys! It's tons of fun. Before mom sits me up, we usually say a quick prayer so that I don't bump my head....nah, I'm just kidding...it just looks like we are praying in this picture.

And up I go!

I can sit all by myself without the boppy behind me, but mom put it there just to make sure that I didn't fall while she held the camera. Here I am playing with my Baby Idol. I love sitting up and reaching for all of my toys!

The Great New York State Fair

Today, I went to the fair with my mom, my dad, and our friend, Jen. It was a perfect day to be at the fair - not too hot and not too crowded! We had a great time!

It was kind of like being at the zoo, except we got to get a lot closer to the animals. I got to pet a cow, and we even got hugs and kisses from the Sea Lions. Here I am "squealing" with excitement after watching the horses. What a fun day!

After hanging out with the animals, we walked over to the Midway to try our luck at some games. My dad tried to win a Buffalo Bills bear for me by playing the football-toss game, but my good luck "pat" on the ball didn't seem to bring him too much luck. Let's hope that Trent Edwards looks better than my dad did for the Bill's season opener!

Big Birthday Boy

Did someone say BIRTHDAY?

Birthday Party? For me?

Yup, that's right - I'm six months old today! We had a great big party and all of my family came to celebrate. At the end of the night, I finally got to open my presents. Is this big box the pony I have been hoping for????

It is! It is!

My dad put the Jump 'n Go pony together while I was sleeping, and I got to play with him first thing in the morning. It was tons of fun!

Thanks everyone for making my birthday so special!

Pass the Pasta, Please

Dad hasn't put my highchair together yet, but that hasn't stopped me from joining everyone at the dinner table.
Now, if someone would just slide that pasta over my way, I'd be all set.

Did Someone Say Football??

I've been watching pre-season football with my dad to gear up for the 2008-2009 season (and my dad thinks I'm going to be the "good luck charm" this year for the Buffalo Bills). We've already been practicing!
1...2...3...HIKE
Not only have we been watching all the pre-season games and listening to Bills talk radio, we're going to training camp this week to check out all of the new players. I can't wait!

My Favorite Uncle

On Saturday night, my Uncle Ted came over for some fun. He thought we were going to do the usual...watch sports on TV and play some cards....but then, my mom put him to work.

First, he had to feed me dinner...my favorite, sweet potatoes. Then, it was off to the bath tub, and Uncle Ted did that too!

I love "hanging" out with my Uncle Ted, even though it must embarrass him that my muscles are already as big as his!!!

Love you, Uncle Ted.

A Family Affair

Today, my Great Aunt Sue and Uncle Larry came from Maine for a quick visit. We had lots of fun hanging out together, and I was smiling up a storm for my Great Uncle Larry. After dinner, we all went for a walk together to make room for Grandma's homemade peach pie. I thought I was going to get in on the pie action (since I eat peaches now), but all I got was carrots and my bottle. Maybe next time....

It was great seeing you guys...come back soon!

Under the Weather

This week, I got my first cold, which was no fun at all. But because Mom and dad felt so bad for me, they let me open one of my birthday presents a little early. I was very happy when I saw my dad assembling the Baby Idol game! I got to see it at my friend, Tate's house, and it looked like a lot of fun. Here I am just mesmerized by the flashing lights and music. Looks like my dad was enjoying himself too!!

After a few days of sneezing and coughing (and lots of TLC from my family), I was back to my old self. Even during the peak of my cold, I was still able to wrestle with dad! And no, the sounds that I'm making during our wrestling match are not the result of congestion....it's my fierce lion impression....ROAR!!!!!

Good Luck, Dad

Today, my dad had his big softball play-off game, so I got all dressed up to wish him good luck. My mom sent some pictures to him on his cell phone right before the game. I sure hope he hits a home run!!!

New Toys

A few days ago when I was hanging out in my Music and Lights Gym, my mom asked me what toys I wanted for my 6-month birthday. I had to think it over for a bit.

"Hmmm....Should I ask for tickets to see the 2009 Superbowl Champs (aka. the Buffalo Bills) or get the cool pony that I've had my eye on???"

Four Boys and a Girl

Today, was a very fun day because I got to go over to my friend, Tate's house for a play date. It was great seeing my old buddies, and, boy, was I amazed at how fast they were moving around the house. Tate and Anthony are crawling and standing now and Mark is walking all over the place! It was a good wake-up call for my mom because in a few short months, that is going to be me!!
Not only was today special because I got to see my friends, but it was also fun because we had a girl join "The Boy's Club." Mom's friend, Colleen, brought her daughter, Emily to play with the boys.
I even got my first kiss

"Hey, ma, did you see that kiss?" Pretty cool...

Tate's house was a ton of fun! It was like a toy wonderland there....he even had a ball pit! Check out the boys playing in the pit. I can't wait 'til I'm bigger and can play in there with them.

Here I am hanging out with Mark (first picture) and with Emily (second picture).

But one of the best things about the play date was seeing my buddy, Tate. It had been such a long time, so I was really happy to see him. Thanks, Tate, for inviting us over to your playland. It was so much fun!

15 Miles on the Erie Canal

Today, me, my mom, and my dad all went for a walk around the Erie Canal. Our first stop was at the pavilion so I could get energized for the big trek. I quickly ate my bottle and got some kisses from my dad while he burped me.

....And we're off!

We walked... we and walked...and we walked. It was lots of fun looking around, especially since I got the royal treatment.

At the end of the trail, I got very excited. I'm all like, "yes, I crossed the finish line before you, dad!"
