Basketball Camp

Today, my dad and I were at the high school, and we happened to run into Coach McKenney (the boys Varsity basketball coach). He was running his basketball camp in the gym, and he invited us to come in and play for a bit.
I was so excited to see all of the kids playing basketball. Usually, I am shy at first in new situations, but my dad said that I just jumped right in with all of the big kids. I even got to give the varsity players "high fives" and "knuckles."

I had so much fun running all over the place and playing basketball with the big kids. I can't wait until I am old enough to go to Coach Mac's basketball camp!

A Visit from an Old Friend (and a new one too!)

Today, my mom's roommate from college, Amie, came from Pennsylvania for a visit, and she brought her 15-month-old son, Evan, for me to play with. It was the first time that we've met, and we hit it off right away (just like our mommies did when they met in college).
Evan and I followed eachother around constantly, and we played nicely the WHOLE weekend. Here I am giving Evan a little tour of my grandparents' house.

Mealtime was especially fun because I had another pal to eat with. Evan even introduced me to some of his favorite foods that I had never tried before....like roast beef and fruit cereal bars. He had quite the appetite, but I tried hard to keep up!

We needed all of the energy we could get for all of the activities our moms had planned for us. Here we are on the swings at Jamesville Beach.

And, of course, we had a blast playing in the sand before the rain clouds moved in!

Our mommies even put us to work cleaning while they sat and relaxed for a bit :)

Playing with Evan was so much fun that we rarely took a break.

Our mommies couldn't believe how well we got along and shared our toys!
We even got to play in the water table (again, before the rain clouds and storm moved in)!

Finally, some rest and relaxation.
By Saturday, we were both exhausted, so we spent some time just lounging in our PJs and watching our favorite YouTube videos.
Two peas in a pod....
It was hard to say "good-bye" to Amie and Evan....I really didn't want them to leave. Here I am giving Evan one last hug.

" I miss you guys already!" Thanks for visiting, Evan and Amie. I hope we can get together again soon!

To the Beach...Jamesville Beach

It was a semi-nice day in Syracuse today, so my mom, dad, and Aunt Heather decided to take advantage of the weather and take me to the beach!
It was the perfect day for playing in the sand....the beach was like my own GIANT sandbox!

After digging in the sand for a while, I decided to venture down to the water.
The sign said, "No Swimming," but that didn't stop me.

Dad and I walked down to the water together (in perfect step).

It took me a few minutes to get used to the water, but then I just dove in head first.

I had a great time splashing and swimming!

"Look, there's mom." She wasn't brave enough to get in the water.

Here I am with my dad, walking up the beach after our little "swim."

After I dried off and put a sweatshirt on, I decided that I was ready for a nap so I packed up a few of my things and took off.
Time to go home...

I didn't get too far before my dad grabbed me...and of course, my mom wanted one more picture before we left.

We had an awesome time at the beach today, and I can't wait until the weather is nice so we can go again!

Water Table Fun

So far, my favorite activity of the summer is playing with my water table. There haven't been too many warm, sunny days this summer in Syracuse, but when the sun is out, you can bet that I am having fun in the water.

I love to scoop up the water and then pour it out, and I especially love when my dad does the same thing...right into my bucket!

One day, it was so hot that my Grandma B actually put me in the watertable.

It was a blast!
