Birthday Excitement

Today, I turned 2-years-old, and I got to celebrate with my whole family! As you can see from the picture above, I was VERY excited. Even Thomas the train came to help celebrate my BIG day!

We've celebrated lots of birthdays over the last few months - both with family and friends. I've watched all my buddies turn 2, so I was really excited today when everyone sang "Happy Birthday to Chase."

Did I mention that I love parties!?!

Opening presents was definitely the best part of the day. Here I am opening a present from Poppy - it was Mr. Potato Head (or "Dumpy Dumpy" as I like to call him because of his resemblance to Humpty Dumpty ).

Of course, I got a lot of presents involving trains - train books, train tracks, train coloring books, and new Thomas trains (Charlie, Edward, Percy, Salty, and Thomas).

Nani and G got me blocks, which of course I used to make tracks and bridges for my new trains.

I had such an amazing time playing with all of my new toys - I didn't want to go to bed!

Mommy and daddy even quickly assembled a new track on my train table with all of my new stuff. Here I am checking out "Morgan's mine."

Thanks to everyone who made my 2nd birthday so special. I am a very lucky boy to have such wonderful family and friends in my life. Love to all - from Chase (the 2-year-old)

Sitting Like a Big Boy

Now that I am almost 6 months old, I am having lots of fun. I love sitting in my bumbo and standing in my exersaucer. Life is good!

Aunt Jackie Turns the Big 2-2

Today, Aunt Jackie turned 22, and we all got together to celebrate her big day! It was great having the family together - even Tyler was able to stay up past his bedtime to eat dinner with everyone!

Every time he would put the hat on my head and then take it off, I would laugh hysterically....

Special Visitors

Over the holidays, we had a lot of special visitors, including my Great Grandma B who came from Chicago see us.  We also had Great Aunt Sue, Uncle Larry, and our second cousins, Ezra and Andy. 

It was so great to see everyone!  I got a lot of "cuddle time."

Well, it only took 4 months...but Chase is finally paying some attention to me. For a while, he just went about his business like I wasn't around - but now he talks to me, shares his toys with me, and even gives me his favorite stuffed animal when I cry.

I've learned that the best part of making brownies is getting to lick the bowl clean. Unfortunately, according to my mom's rules, whoever has the last lick of batter has to wash the dirty dishes!
